Farscape film adaptation is officially underway!

The sci-fi series Farscape, which ran from 1999-2003, had a hardcore following and recently it was being rumored that the show would return in the form of a new movie. Well that rumor just got a jolt of new life from the creator and showrunner of the show, Rockne O'Bannon.

While at WonderCon this weekend, O'Bannon revealed during an interview that the film adaptation was in development however it is still in the very early stages.
"Yeah, yeah it’s the worst kept secret … We’re far from production, but yeah, the first step is Justin working on a script for us,” he said. “We’ll keep our fingers crossed."
There is also a rumored storyline that has been going around that some fans may find very interesting.
"Set to follow the awesome comics written by our favorite Keith R.A. DeCandido, the film would follow John and Aeryn's son, D'Argo (or Little D, as we will always refer to him). Because their baby was exhibiting a set of interesting powers that made him a magnet for galactic villains, we find that John and Aeryn hide their son on Earth to grow up. Now the kid is 19 and ready to go into space with his parents."
Would you be excited to see the cast of Farscape return for a film adaptation?
