Sinister Six and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 film release dates are announced!

Sony announced today the release dates for two of their future Spider-Man projects. They announced that the spin-off film "Sinister Six" will be released on November 11, 2016. 2016 was originally the release date for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 but now that has been pushed back for 2018. So far there is no month set for release. This of course means that The Amazing Spider-Man 4 will be pushed back from 2018 to an undisclosed date.

The original Sinister Six debuted in 1964 and included the Spider-Man super villains Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sandman, and the Vulture. It appears that the film adaptation will alter the team slightly however using members for other Sinister Six Teams. The film team will include Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Rhino, and two unnamed characters. From the end credits tease from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 I would say that the last two characters will be one of the following: Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Chameleon, or Shocker.

At the moment there is no information about the spin-off film for Venom. I hope that this film doesn't get pushed back too far. If the character is done right, it has potential to be a really fun film!
