Concept art and actor reveled for Tim Burton's version of Robin for the Batman franchise!

In the 90's Tim Burton was originally going to stay with the Batman franchise that he was creating until some disagreements with Warner Bros. caused him to part ways with the Caped Crusader.

Warner Bros. wanted Burton to tone down the dark atmosphere that he had created in the first two films but this was not something that he wanted to do. It has been revealed however that had he stayed on to direct a third Batman film that it would have had Robin joining Batman to fight off The Riddler.

An interesting piece of concept art has surfaced for the Robin that we would have seen. More interestingly it is being reported that Scary Movie star Marlon Wayans was cast as the boy wonder and was eventually replaced with Chris O'Donnell when Joel Schumacher came onto the project to direct.

It's fascinating to see Burton's vision for Robin but it is a design that I personally am not a big fan of. Of course this design could have changed by the time that the real suit was made. Would you have wanted to see this version of Robin fighting side by side with Batman against the Riddler? How do you think a young Marlon Wayans would have done in the role?
