William Shatner is set to return to the Star Trek franchise in the next film!

Rumors circulated and fans theorized but it seems that William Shatner will officially be making his return to the Star Trek franchise in the next J.J. Abrams film. Shatner tweeted earlier a hint of his return by saying, "I'm baaaaccckk!!!" It has since been taken down but that only seems to fuel the fact that he is officially coming back. Badass Digest reported on the matter saying,
"My sources are now telling me that not only will Shatner be in the movie, his scene will have him meeting Chris Pine. Also in that scene: Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy. But if my sources are steering me correct this won't be original timeline Spock - it'll be future alt-timeline Kirk and Spock. Basically the scene will have Kirk and Spock interacting with their future selves."
How do you feel about William Shatner making a return to the franchise? Do you like the idea or feel that they may be playing around with the alternate timeline/time traveling idea a little too much?
