A new generation of Griswolds head to Walley World in the new Vacation trailer!

It has been 30 years since the original National Lampoon's Vacation was released but it looks like a new generation of Griswolds will be hitting the road this July! The new film will be similarly be titled Vacation and will follow an adult Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) and his family as they try to have their own cross country trip to Walley World.

The first red band trailer was released today for the film and it looks pretty funny. The film is clearly set to be a sequel to the original 1983 film but will also serve as a reboot for the franchise. They even poke fun that this film will stand on its own even if you haven't heard of the original. Making their return will be Chevy Chase and Beverly D’’Angelo reprising their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold.

This new film will unfortunately be nowhere near the original but with plenty of references to it and nostalgia working with it it should do well enough. Don't expect the old style of humor however as the humor in this film will be modern with all the graphic jokes that go along with it.

Vacation will be in theaters on July 29, 2015.
